Colchester United have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Huddersfield Town striker Rekeil Pyke on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old, who had been training with the U's prior to his move, will challenge Chris Porter, Kurtis Guthrie and Denny Johnstone for a place in John McGreal's side, following his temporary move from the Championship club.
Pyke, who is yet to play for Huddersfield's first team, spent time on loan at National League side Wrexham at the end of last year, where he made one start and two substitute appearances.
The teenager has been prolific for the Terriers' under-23 side and Colchester will be hoping that he hits the ground running for his new club, as they push for promotion back to League One in the final three months of the season.
