IPSWICH Town boss Jim Magilton has admitted he is keeping tabs on wantaway Colchester United striker Jamie Cureton.
Magilton has not given up on his first choice striking acquisition - Francis Jeffers - but Magilton said he is interested in Cureton, who has handed in a transfer request at Layer Road, if he cannot strike a deal with Blackburn Rovers for Jeffers.
He said: "I believe Southampton are very interested and we would also have some other irons in the fire but we would keep abreast of the Jamie Cureton situation."
