Maldon and Tiptree knocked AFC Sudbury off the top spot with a great win.
The Jammers took a Ryman League division north 2-0 victory at Sudbury, which saw Cray Wanderers take over at the top.
After a goal-less first half the Jammers secured the win with two goals after the break.
Darren McQueen put the visitors in front on 54 minutes.
Then Femi Akinwande wrapped up the three points on 90 minutes.
Witham Town lost out in a seven goal thriller at Harlow Town.
The visitors went 4-0 down in the first half through goals by Ibrahima Sonko, Ryan Melaugh, Lewis Perkins and Alex Read.
Read then made it 5-0 on 50 minutes.
Witham pulled two goals back through Daniel Emmanuel and Lance Akins but they couldn’t then add to their tally.
Heybridge Swifts fell to a 4-2 defeat against visiting Thurrock.
Thurrock went 3-0 up in the first 27 minutes with goals from Ross Gleed, Keke Orth and Ross Wall.
After the break, Swifts fought back and Billy Hunt made it 3-1 on 64 minutes.
Adalberto Pinto brought Swifts right back into the game on 72 minutes.
However, Wall secured the game for the visitors on 82 minutes when he made it 4-2.
Brightlingsea Regent secured a good away win at Romford.
They grabbed a 2-0 victory with goals from Jake Turner, on ten minutes, and Lamell Howell, on 58 minutes.
