STANWAY ROVERS boss Angelo Harrop says he and his players mean business ahead of this weekend’s FA Vase trip to St Austell.
The sides are set to do battle in a last-16 showdown, at Poltair Park.
The squad have a 53-seater coach booked and are setting off at 1pm today, ahead of their 350-mile trip to Cornwall.
However, far from it being a weekend jolly, Harrop says his club are treating the occasion like professionals.
“I really want to prepare properly,” said former Colchester United youth-teamer Harrop.
“A lot of our players have never experienced anything like this and might never again, so it’s something to be enjoyed.
“We’ll have a very quiet night tonight.
“We’ve already got a meal booked at the hotel, maybe followed by a game of cards or watching some TV.
“Then we’ll have breakfast and a pre-match lunch together tomorrow.
“We’re trying to do everything as a professional club would and it all adds to the experience.
“As a club, we’re taking this match so seriously and it’s certainly not a weekend jolly down to Cornwall.”
