Tony Humes insists he is not worried by a lack of experience in Colchester United’s youthful squad.
And the U’s boss says he is not about to turn up the heat on his players, despite their recent losing run.
Colchester travel to play promotion-hopefuls MK Dons tomorrow, hoping to halt a run of three straight defeats in League One.
A young U’s side is likely to take to the field again, with only three players aged 25 or over and the average age of the side under 23 years old.
The departure of veteran David Wright this week has emphasised further the youthful nature of the current Colchester squad.
But Humes said: “There are times when you need experience but a lack of it doesn’t worry me."
