A gritty away performance enabled Colchester United to secure a draw at Ninian Park, following a goal-less draw against high-flying Cardiff City.

Chris Iwelumo, fresh from scoring four times against Hull in midweek, missed Colchester's best chance just before half-time, while keeper Dean Gerken, who started in place of the injured Aidan Davison, made several impressive saves.
