How long have you lived in your town?

On and off, I've been here for nearly 20 years.

What’s your best memory of living here?

Walking my dog on Hilly Fields.

What do you like most about living here?

The history at places like Castle Park and Bourne Mill. I also enjoy exploring all the green spaces.

What’s your favourite place for a takeaway?

I don’t have takeaways because of all the disposable packaging.

What’s your favourite pub?

I'd say The Purple Dog, in Eld Lane.

What one thing that has gone do you miss the most?

A pond that used to be in Hilly Fields.

What’s your favourite building in the town?

Bourne Mill.

What’s your favourite place to grab a tea or coffee?

I'd say Cafe Sala, an independent shop in Eld Lane.

Where would you go for a special meal?

I'd choose the North Hill Noodle Bar.

Where’s the best place to go for a walk?

My top three would be Hilly Fields, Middlewick Ranges and Salary Brook.

If you had a magic wand, what one wish would you grant your town?

I'd definitely stop all the development.

Which three places should anyone visiting make an effort to see?

I'd recommend Castle Park, Bourne Mill and Colchester Zoo.

Colchester should certainly be proud of Castle Park.

Which three words best sum up your town?

History, litter and coffee shops.
