A MAN who threatened a woman with a gun has been jailed.
Curtis Elliott, 22, of Woodlands Close, Clacton, was arrested on suspicion of assault on July 26.
Police received reports a man had threatened a woman with what appeared to be a gun.
At the scene, officers found the woman had sustained an injury to her shoulder after being shot with a suspected air rifle.
Elliott admitted two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, one count of assault, making a threat to kill and damaging property.
He appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday. Judge David Turner QC sentenced Elliott to a total of four and a half years imprisonment.
