WE have two dramatic arrivals to tell you about in today’s New Arrivals column.
Thankfully, both stories have a happy ending.
Stanley Stewart Nicholson was born at Colchester Hospital on August 28, weighing 5lb 11oz.
Mum Jo McKenna said: “Stanley made an unexpected early arrival via emergency C-section at 2.52am.
“He had a reduced heartrate and his cord was wrapped around his neck twice.
“Daddy (Stewart Nicholson) made it just in time and we’re all settling into our new life as a family.”
Suzanne Swannell made contact to tell us about her daughter Esmae Mia Swannell, born in Colchester on August 18, weighing 6lb 9oz.
“I was due for a C-section on September 3, but went into labour and my waters broke on August 18,” she said.
“I had an emergency C-section and my partner, Dale, made it just in time to join me before I went into theatre. Esmae was unable to maintain her oxygen and had jaundice so we were in hospital for four days.
“Thankfully, she is all healthy now.”
