POLICE say the death of a girl in West Mersea is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers were called to Upland Road around 7.25am on Friday (October 16) following reports a body had been found.
They found a teenage girl had died in an area of woodland known as Raymead Wood.
Officers remained at the scene throughout the day but a police spokesman has confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
