A 21-year-old was stabbed in the chest following a disturbance outside a bar in the early hours of this morning.
Police rushed to Colchester High Street at roughly 1am this morning to reports a man had been stabbed.
The victim suffered a single stab wound to the chest during the incident, which took place outside After Office Hours, near to the high street taxi rank.
The man was taken to hospital for his injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.
Police arrested a 20-year-old man from Colchester on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent at the scene.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Police are treating the attack as targeted and do not believe the incident is linked to After Office Hours, despite taking place outside the bar.
