A FESTIVAL is taking the idea of a pop-up orchestra one step further by offering the chance of a private performance in the workplace.
A 40-piece orchestra will be entertaining colleagues in Colchester next month, as part of a competition organised by the Roman River Festival.
The up-close-and-personal performance will be part of the annual festival which will see Street Orchestra Live headline the opening night.
The group of emerging musicians will also be popping up spontaneously around the town to entertain crowds.
As part of the orchestra’s spontaneous pop-ups the festival is holding a competition for one workplace in Colchester to host a private concert.
Workplaces must have space for 40 musicians for a performance on either July 10 and 11.
