LAST Wednesday while in Home Bargains at Clacton Common, my three-year-old was crying.
This was a combination of being tired, wanting a doll and having a medical condition for life which we are dealing with.
I was going to take her out but a few customers smiled, telling me not to worry as they had all been there and told me to keep smiling.
A man, with his children, said something to me about being loud. I apologised and said, as cruel as it sounds, you need to let them burn it off.
A few moments later, he then approached and asked me if I could do something as my child was “doing his head in”.
I was so shocked and explained she was in and out of hospital.
I dumped my basket, left empty-handed and cried.
I hope this man appreciates his golden children who have never done this before.
I also hope he or anyone never judges or makes comments to people in this type of situation, as people can be unaware of what is going on in other people’s lives, which they can’t control.
