TEENAGER Abigail Early is the talk of east Essex after winning a speaking competition.
Abigail, 14, scooped the top prize in the east Essex regional final of Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge.
The student at the Plume School in Maldon beat 13 other young speakers at the event at the Thomas, Lord Audley School in Colchester.
Her speech Terms and Conditions Apply won her a £100 gift voucher.
Second place went to Brandon Thomson, 15, from the Stanway School with his speech A Boys’ Guide to Sexism.
Third place went to Treasure Chima, 15, from St Benedict’s Catholic College, Colchester, with her speech titled The Right Shade.
