A WOMAN in her 30s died after being found unconscious.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust was called to a property in Ilex Close, Colchester, shortly before 11.15am on Sunday.
A medical response car from the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust was dispatched to the scene, along with a rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, ambulance officer, and a community first responder.
Crews managed to get to the patient within eight minutes, but were unable to save her life.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "Sadly despite the best efforts of everyone involved, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Our thoughts are with the friends and family involved at this sad time."
The police were called by the ambulance service to attend the incident.
A spokesman for Essex Police confirmed the death was not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
