COLCHESTER’S newest retailer has teamed up with an Essex hospice.
Fashion and lifestyle store, White Stuff, which opened in the High Street, on Friday, has chosen The J’s Hospice as its long-term partner.
Members of the hospice’s fundraising team attended the launch, alongside Nathan Cain, 19, and his mum Suzan, from Colchester, who receive help from the hospice.
At just four days old Nathan had breathing problems and a bleed to his brain, which has left him with Worster-Drought Syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism and scoliosis, causing curvature of his spine.
Suzan said: “The J’s Hospice has been supporting our family for two years.
“Nathan’s condition is for life, but with the knowledge that J’s Hospice is meeting his needs, we know his future can be met with confidence.”
Chelmsford-based J’s Hospice, specifically for young adults, was established in 2004 by Denise Whiffin.
