TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular young man who died after being struck by a car in Colchester.
Nick Sherwood, 25, who was visiting Colchester, was struck on St Andrew’s Avenue at about 3.50am on Sunday following a night out in the town.
Dozens of bunches of flowers were left at the scene, by those who knew and loved him, together with a picture of the fun loving young man in the arms of his beloved girlfriend of four years, Lilie Smyth.
She posted a touching tribute to Mr Sherwood, also known as Shers, near the scene.
