The Gentlemen is finally back on Netflix for its second series, with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario returning to lead the cast.
The first series aired back in 2024, with it being inspired by Guy Ritchie's film of the same name, which was released in cinemas in 2019.
It followed Eddie Horniman (James), who inherits his father's large estate, but soon learns a criminal enterprise is secretly using part of the grounds to grow weed on a large scale.
Despite initially trying to disentangle his family from the organisation, Eddie slowly gets more involved in the business, which is run by Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone) and largely operated by his daughter Susie (Scodelario).
At the end of the first series, Eddie and Susie earned the right to take over the business and will face more peril from the criminal underworld.
A synopsis for the second series reads: "It’s been one year since Eddie and Susie joined forces to work together in Bobby’s criminal empire overseas.
"As they drive to expand their enterprise, the decisions Bobby is making seem to be increasingly unsound.
"Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well…"
When the second series went into production, Guy Ritchie said in a statement: "I am delighted to return to set for season 2 of The Gentlemen.
"This chapter sees a deliberate expansion, both geographically and thematically, as we journey from the English countryside to the Italian lakes."
Theo James spoke to Man About Town about his hopes for the new season.
He said: "I was very keen that if we're going to continue the story, we had to – I know this sounds obvious – evolve it because the first season deals with elements of class and moral ambiguity and all those things, but it was also heavy [on the] entertainment.
"But to replicate that and do the same thing…, I think the audience is smart and they expect more.
"So the second season, we all – Guy [Ritchie] and the writers included – made a concerted effort to broaden the world and hopefully deepen and darken it, to take the characters to darker and more complicated places while retaining the fun elements.”

Is Meghan Markle in The Gentlemen?
In August, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was reported to have been offered a role in The Gentlemen's third series.
Deadline shared that a report had circulated that she had been “offered a role in an upcoming project based in the UK" which was allegedly a further series of The Gentlemen.
Before marrying Prince Harry and becoming a member of the Royal Family, Meghan was well-known for her role as Rachel Zane in the US legal drama Suits.
However, a few days later, Tina Brown, the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, claimed Meghan had been dropped from the project.
Writing on her Substack, she said: "I learned this morning that the casting of Meghan Markle in season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen has been withdrawn.

"The backlash in the UK was so intense, it became untenable to go forward.
"This does not bode well for Meghan’s acting comeback in the UK."
The news comes as Meghan and Harry are reportedly on the way back to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after spending several years living in California.
