The Duchess of Cornwall will watch a display of Highland dancing on a second day of engagements in Aberdeenshire.

Camilla has been invited to the performance at The Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Braemar, near the Royal Family’s home at Balmoral.

The park is home to a new heritage centre named in honour of her husband Charles, whose title in Scotland is the Duke of Rothesay.

Her visit comes on the day Princess Eugenie is to marry Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Around 850 guests are expected to gather in the historic surroundings where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wed five months ago.

The Duke of Rothesay Highland Games Pavilion tells the story of the popular Braemar Gathering, which is held in the park each year and is regularly attended by the Queen.

The building, expected to open to the public early next year, will also provide new headquarters for the Braemar Royal Highland Society.

During the visit, the duchess will meet the society’s president David Geddes, and Robert Lovie of The Prince’s Foundation.

On Thursday Camilla visited Alford Community Campus in Aberdeenshire and joined a cookery class with schoolchildren.

She visited Alford Community Campus and met pupils and staff from local schools who had come together for a celebration of harvest time.
