IMPORTANT bridge repairs are set to be coming soon despite some damage from vehicles ignoring the detour.
Little Braxted Lane bridge had its repairs by Essex County Council delayed due to material supplies and water levels but work is set to resume ‘within days’ weather permitting, according to Essex Highways.
However, slight damage to the bridge parapet was damaged after repair.
A highways spokesman said: “Probably HGV despite weight limit and warning signs.”
