A FURTHER three deaths have been confirmed at the trust which runs Broomfield Hospital.
Figures from NHS England released today revealed that three patients have died after testing positive for Covid-19 at the Mid Essex Hospital Services Trust in the past 24 hours.
The total number of deaths at the trust now stands at 173.
In the eleven trusts which run Essex hospitals, only one other trusts recorded any new deaths.
One further patient died at the East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust which runs Colchester Hospital bring its total to 307.
NHS England said a further 174 people in England had died but added the Covid-19 Patient Notification System did not operate for a period of time on Saturday which could lead to errors.
These are the confirmed number of deaths at trusts which run hospitals in Essex:
- East Suffolk and North Essex: 307
- Basildon and Thurrock Trust: 260
- Princess Alexandra: 204
- Southend: 182
- Mid Essex Trust: 173
- Anglian Community Enterprise- Fryatt Hospital: 20
- Essex Partnership Trust: 16
- Provide - Braintree Community Hospital: 6
- Anglian Community Enterprise- Clacton Hospital: 3
- Provide- St Peters Hospital-2
- Provide - Halstead Hospital-1
