A COMMUNITY swimming pool is set to close after receiving advice on coronavirus precautions.
Southminster Swimming Pool will suspend its aquatic activities from next Monday (March 23).
In a letter addressed to customers, a spokesman said: “Unfortunately due to the present coronavirus situation and along with advice from Southminster School and Swim England, S W Swimming has had to make the decision to close the pool until further notice.
“I am devastated about the position we find ourselves in as I know how much our customers depend on the pool for their fitness and wellbeing.
“We hope you all stay in the best possible health and send you best wishes in this challenging time for all in our communities.
“Small businesses such as ours depend on the loyalty and support of our customers and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you so much for your support and recommendations.
“I sincerely hope I see you all soon.”
