A MARKETING firm in Maldon has taken steps to stop the spread of Covid-19 by asking staff to work from home... and now its encouraging other businesses to do the same.

VerriBerri is implementing a special action plan, which it is sharing in a bid to get other businesses involved.

Managing director Sarah Kauter said her staff were probably not considered high risk.

However she said staff’s wellbeing “should always be a priority”.

“With technology being so powerful, there is no reason remote working needs to lose effectiveness,” she said.

“We have also asked all the team to make sure they get dressed and don’t work in pyjamas, so that they feel in ‘work mode’. All phones are being diverted to mobiles for the interim period.”

She added: “To keep up morale and show a united front, the team will be chronicling the working from home journey on their Instagram story each day.”

Other advice includes taking routine breaks and using a shared online database for accessing information.
