A WEDDING venue has taken on a new executive chef as it gets set to launch a new catering brand.
Braxted Park has appointed Evan Marshall, who previously spent 14 years as as head chef and general manager at the luxury Maison Talbooth hotel.
Born and trained in New Zealand, he has worked in restaurants around the world.
Braxted Park is also launching its new Braxted Park Kitchen catering brand.
Mr Marshall said: “The launch of the new Braxted Park Kitchen brand gives us the opportunity to bring events catering to life, introducing some new and exciting flavours and menus.
“The new brand will have a focus on creating a very interactive experience, with sharing boards, grazing tables and guests carving their own joint of meats all playing a big part of the menu.
“We’ll also be moving towards using local suppliers, and I am looking forward to seeing what we can create using the game produced here on the Braxted Park Estate.”
The move will allow the country estate to bring its wedding and event catering in-house.
Owner Duncan Clark said: “We are very lucky to be surrounded by some of the country’s best food producers and will be taking full advantage of this, and our estate really is its very own larder.”
