A SERVICE for adults in need of mental health support has launched across north east Essex.

Run by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, Therapy for You will provide free counselling and psychological therapy for people aged 16 and over.

It will seek to help those experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and specific phobias.

It will offer therapy in person, online, by phone or video call, as well as group sessions and online courses.

Paul Scott, chief executive of the foundation trust, said: “The events of the past 12 months have been challenging for everyone. Therapy for You allows people to access specialist therapy when they need it most, in a way that suits them best.”

Members of the public can access the service by calling 01206 334001 or visiting www.therapyforyou.co.uk. They can also speak to their GP about a referral to the service.
