CARE workers and residents at an assisted living facility have created a music video to show unity in the fight against coronavirus.

The team at Rosebank Park, in Main Road, Dovercourt have filmed the clip to lift spirits in these challenging times.

Michelle Guest, registered manager, said it took them four weeks to film, edit and put together the video with the positive message.

The video uses Elton John’s hit I’m Still Standing.

She said: “Through this video we want to show that we’re fighting back against coronavirus and it won’t take any of us.

“We will put as much of a fight into it as we can. We also wanted to say thank you to our carers and anybody working on the frontline.

“Our main aim is to make people smile and say thank you to anyone who is working hard through the pandemic.”

Some of the residents also joined in in the making of the footage.

Mrs Guest continued saying: “They were all really pleased to join in and they were quite happy they had their thank you note for our staff and all key workers featured in the video.

“We have a really good team and community spirit here.

“It’s a fantastic place to work at and the residents make it worthwhile coming to work every day.

“We are united, working together as a team and community.”
