SHOPS at a plaza have decided to help people struggling with Universal Credit over the Christmas period by giving away donations.
Essex Bling, a shop at the Kingsway Plaza, Dovercourt, is only one of the shops, which wants to help the less fortunate.
A spokesman for Essex Bling said: “We’re doing this to give something back to the community.”
The week before Christmas, shops will be handing out parcels for families who can prove they receive universal credit, by showing a letter of proof to the shopkeepers.
People are asked to bring items to the Kingsway Plaza
