A MAN has been arrested and is in hospital with one other following a serious road traffic collision yesterday.

Officers with Essex Police were called to Rowley Hill in Haverhill yesterday (Sunday 6 September) at around 10.30am after reports of vehicle collision.

Reports suggested a blue Volkswagen Golf had been involved in a single vehicle collision at Sturmer Meadow roundabout.

Officers and paramedics attended and two people were taken to hospital, one of which has potentially life changing injuries.

A 28-year-old man from Liverpool, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

The road remained closed for a few hours while enquires were conducted and debris was cleared to ensure the safety of other road users.
