THREE areas in the district have been removed from the coronavirus hotspots map.
The rate of infection in the district now stands at 99.6 cases per 100,000.
Tendring, Colchester and Maldon all have lower rates of infection.
Braintree remains way off the average rate of infection in the Essex County Council area however, which is 140.9.
The worst affected area in the district is still Braintree West and Rayne, which saw 16 cases of Covid-19 recorded between November 6 and 12.
But there are now three areas not highlighted on the map, which have seen fewer than two cases recorded in that period.
They are West Witham, North Witham and Bures Hamlet, Maplestead & Belchamp.
