The front page of last week’s Times rightly praises key workers during this pandemic.
However, I see no mention of supermarket workers? My daughter is a shift manager in a supermarket, and when all the panic buying started, she was frequently abused and shouted at, often coming home in tears.
Her, and others, worked very hard to keep supplies coming and customers happy. Some were...some were not. A mention to them would be nice.

I WAS very disappointed not to see any supermarket workers mentioned in your ‘key worker’ heart shape on the front page of last week’s paper.
In my eyes they have been real unsung heroes. As I have been completing the family shop over the last few weeks since lockdown began, queuing, social distancing and collecting some items for vulnerable people has been quite a challenge.
I have nothing but praise for the staff in Sainsbury’s, Tesco at Marks Farm and in the town centre who have all been nothing less than supportive, polite and so reassuring in these uncertain times.
I applaud and thank you all.
