ROADWORKS which led to the closure of two town centre roads have been completed.
Essex Highways had shut parts of Maldon Road and Collingwood Road, in Witham, while workers improved the traffic light system on Newland Street.
Highways bosses say the lights will be more reliable and efficient following the work.
Additional repairs have been carried out on sunken paving blocks in the area, while a damaged manhole cover has also been repaired.
Work had been expected to finish on Monday, February 10, but the scheme overran by six days.
An Essex Highways spokesman said: “We would like to thank residents and local businesses for their patience and support during these works.”
