A TRIO of rising rugby stars could get the chance to represent their country.

Tristan Smith, 18, from Notley, is one of three students from Felsted School to be selected for the England Under-18 development camp, which decides who plays in international fixtures.

Tristan, who is a weekly boarder studying A-levels, has played a major part in the success of the first team for two seasons, being the cornerstone of the pack.

Teammates Samual Bryan and Obinna Nkwocha will join Tristan at the training camp.

All three players are also involved in the Saracens Under-18 Rugby Academy.

Felsted rugby director Andrew Le Chevalier said: “We have had boys reach these international heights in the past, but to have three from Felsted in one year is just fantastic.

“Felsted is delighted that not only has the boys’ hard work been rewarded but also that we have the most boys attending from all schools across the country.”

The training camp will determine final selection for upcoming international fixtures against Scotland, France and Wales as well as the six Nations Festival against Wales, Scotland and Italy.
