SOMETIMES in life, given certain views we hold, there are things that you think you will never think or say and here are a couple of mine:

Firstly – congratulations to all those involved in the issue about pavement parking, it has to be said that it is having a positive effect because I think I can say with a degree of certainty that there are now more cars parking on the pavement than before.

Well done, credit where it’s due.

Secondly – I had to sympathise with those people on bikes recently using East Street because while carrying out pavement repairs on East Bridge the workmen had to close one of the paths, meaning they were forced to use the road.

I can only hope they were not traumatised too much and can – now that the path is open again – happily, if illegally ride on them again.
