DEDHAM’S stunning scenery is being celebrated as part of Landscape for Life week.
Each year Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty across the country organise special events during Landscapes for Life week.
But this year is special as it is the 70th anniversary of the 1949 National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act which paved the way for the legislation to create the UK’s 46 AONBs.
The Dedham Vale and Stour Valley is taking part in the week which runs until Sunday. This year’s theme is Natural Health Service.
Nigel Chapman, chairman of the Dedham Vale AONB, said: "As John Muir said in the 1800s: Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.”
