A HOSPITAL for people with autism and learning disabilities hosted a fun community day.
Thors Park in Thorrington is a specialist hospital run by Cygnet Healthcare.
Staff invited other healthcare companies in the area to join them for a family fun day with games and inflatables.
Occupational therapist Susan Wood said it was a successful event.
She said: “It was a really good day. We had six hospitals come to visit.
“The skies weren’t with us but the rain held off.
“We had a DJ there, dancing and music, we had splat the rat and outdoor games.
“There was a water balloon game which was really fun, as was the outdoor archery.”
All the service users took part in the different activities including a competitive tug of war.
There was also a raffle to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Service users have also just finished creating an indoor mural with a local artist.
Cygnet Thors Park is a 14 bed specialist high dependency care service providing care and treatment for men with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The team can also support people who have additional mental and physical health needs.
