A COUPLE expecting their second child are looking forward to jetting off to the United Arab Emirates after winning a Newsquest Essex competition.
Lucky Jon and Sam Collins, of Brightlingsea, plan to soak up the sun for four nights in September before their new baby arrives in January.
Mr Collins, 38, admitted their typical holiday would usually be staying in a caravan in Norfolk.
He said: “We are unbelievably excited. After the initial phone call I was quite stunned, I didn’t know what to say or how to take it in.
“I was trying to get hold of my wife for two hours but she wasn’t answering her phone.”
The accounts sales manager said he never enters competitions.
The couple will be staying in an executive suite at the five-star Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach resort in Fujairah.
They have a son, Alfie, three.
