ALL things from the Fifties will be celebrated at the vintage fair at Cressing Temple Barns on Sunday (June 17).

The event, in aid of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, promises to be a big hit with music lovers, as well as fans of retro and vintage style.

Displays of Harley Davidsons and vintage bicycles will be on show, alongside rock ’n’ roll, jazz, blues and pop music from the era.

The Kingsmen Rock ’n’ Roll band have been invited back to the fair after getting the crowd up and dancing last year.

Other musicians on the bill include jazz singer Nicole Peach, whose voice has been compared to Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse.

Essex-based blues band, the Mighty Boss Cats, will also be entertaining fans with an acoustic set, and they will be joined on stage by charity manager Greg Camburn, on saxophone.

Greg says: “With so many stalls and such great entertainment, the vintage fair really is an event for all of the family. It’s also Father’s Day, so bring your dad along as there is so much fantastic live music for him to enjoy.”

The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity supports people living with cancer through drug trials, research and an award-winning support centre in Chelmsford.

This is the third year the charity has held the vintage fair, which will be open between 10.30am and 5pm.

Admission is £5 for adults, £2.50 for children aged under 16 and free for children under five.

A family ticket for two adults and two children is £12.
