A COMMUNITY is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its community centre with a party and everyone is invited.

Members of the Hythe Community Centre Association, in Ventura Drive, will be hosting a triple celebration on Saturday, June 2.

Residents, visitors and faces from the past can take part in the free events from 11am until 3pm.

They include fancy dress with visitors invited to wear royal attire in recognition of the Diamond Jubilee weekend.

The Firstsite art bus will be parked on site offering Olympic torch making facilities.

There will also be a mini Olympic games with a football shoot-out and toddlers can have a go at craft based acitvities joining in with Barnados Children’s centre.

Food and drink will be available with many other stalls and activities.

Organiser Sareena Cobden said “Everyone is invited to celebrate this special weekend with us. We want to raise awareness of our work in the community and celebrate with our residents and volunteers all we have achieved”.
