RESCUE teams were called out after a yacht went missing near West Mersea.
A Mersea coastguard rescue team and RNLI West Mersea lifeboat crew responded after concerns were raised about a 27ft yacht with one person onboard.
The yacht had abandoned its journey off Ramsgate and was returning to West Mersea when contact was lost.
The yacht was located by a guard vessel on the London Array wind farm and the skipper was safe and well.
The search took place at about 10pm yesterday.
