FORKLIFT trucks and tools have been stolen from a building site in Colchester.
Two JCB forklift trucks were taken from the Persimmon Homes site in Tufnell Way, Colchester, before being driven across Essex.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Police are investigating the circumstances behind a burglary in Colchester.
“It happened at a building site when thieves forced their way into the site between 5pm on March 20 and 6am on March 21.
“Two JCB forklifts and a quantity of tools were taken.
“Some of the items were recovered near to the M25 two days later.”
