A STUDENT film maker hopes to get her big break if she wins a national competition to have her film shown at an Olympic venue.
Hannah Read, from Clacton Road, Elmstead Market, has written, directed and edited a short film on the theme of Truce.
Winners of the Film Nation Shorts competition will need top film makers and get their work screened at one of the iconic Olympic sites during the Games.
Hannah, 19, said: “I’m quite interested in the Olympics and found the competition by chance. I thought it would be a good way of getting my work noticed.
“I looked at the categories and the idea just struck me. Everyone was doing quite a similar thing, and I thought of having a truce with yourself rather than another person.”
To win the competition Hannah needs people to ‘like’ her film.
The former Colchester County High School for girls’ pupil is currently studying film production at the Arts University College, Bournemouth, but filmed around the Drury Road area of Colchester. To watch the film and ‘like’ it visit the Film Nation website.
