MORE than 700 people took part in Colchester's Sport Relief mile event which was held at the University of Essex.
Some runners wore fancy dress to take part in the one, three and six mile runs with costumes including a dragon and the air cadets dressed as planes.
The event was jointly organised by the university and its Students' Union. James Thornton, vice-president of student activities for the union, said: "It was absolutely fantastic."
