GREENSTEAD residents can now get online at a new internet cafe on the estate.
The community centre, in Hawthorn Avenue, has got funding for four touch screen computers to be used by residents.
Courses in basic computer knowledge, using the internet, and being safe online, will also be offered to help develop people’s IT skills.
The internet cafe, thought to be the only one outside of the town centre at the eastern end of Colchester, is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
Access costs 50p for 15 minutes, 75p for 30 minutes and £1 for an hour, but users can set up an account meaning they don’t have to use all of their credit at once.
