FAMILIES have been praised for enjoying fireworks displays in safety.
Ambulance crews were only called out to eight incidents, five of which were in Essex but none in north Essex on Saturday ***Nov 5***.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "First and foremost, out of the eight calls we attended, only five needed transportation to hospital, and thankfully the injuries were not serious.
“This figure shows that the public are attending professionally organised events in the towns or villages where they live."
