SHOPPERS queued for hours to be the first inside Colchester’s new Superdry clothes shop.
Elliott Wright, 17, of New Town, Colchester, and Hannah Mclellan, 16, of Wimpole Road, Colchester, queued from 5am to get their hands on goodie bags offered to the first 100 customers.
The brand has more than 100 stores across 22 countries selling casual clothing such as hooded tops, T-shirts and jeans for young men and women.
The shop in Culver Square has created 13 jobs.
The store's opening comes on the day bosses at Culver Square and Lion Walk shopping precincts announced the number of shoppers is up 10 per cent and 17 per cent respectively on last year.
