A COLCHESTER man has fallen to his death from a bridge.
Mark Lucas, of Hanbury Gardens, is thought to have fallen from the A1232 onto the westbound carriageway of the A120 at Ardleigh about 1am on Saturday.
He was hit by a vehicle and suffered extensive injuries from the fall and collision.
Mr Lucas, 35, died two hours later at Colchester General Hospital.
Anyone who saw Mr Lucas on the bridge or witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Boreham on 101, or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk A 39-year-old Witham man has been arrested for traffic offences in connection with the collision.
