I read the story about the girl who is being kept at home to avoid finishing her “punishment” in the isolation room at St Helena School.

She has a clear choice of being isolated at home with no further education, or spending a short time isolated at school before getting back into full-time education.

Does she want to continue her education or not?

Her choice to stay at home, suggests she does not want to continue it.

If she did, she would be back at school under the school’s terms.

I can’t see where human rights come into it, except in that she is denying herself the right to a free education.
