Job Title: Trainee Reporter
Newsquest (Essex) Ltd is part of England’s largest regional newspaper publisher, with an expanding portfolio of newspapers, websites and magazines.
The Role:
The Harwich & Manningtree Standard and Clacton & Frinton Gazette, two weekly titles in north Essex, need a trainee reporter for the Clacton office.
Applicants must either have NCTJ pre-entry qualifications, or be awaiting results.
The Gazette and Standard are great papers for any journalist to start their career. They cover a fantastic news area and have a good newspaper sales record.
The papers are part of Newsquest Essex, which publishes two daily papers and 12 weeklies. The company is committed to providing ongoing training and career development.
The Person
Good organisational skills are essential to the role as is the ability to work well within a busy but vibrant team.
