I am delighted to read your article Our Recycling Centre Could Still Be Saved (Gazette, September 29).
I congratulate those who have campaigned to retain the centre.
It is good to see that collective effort might achieve a change of heart in our decision-makers.
I will point out the numerous Wivenhoe residents, who took the time and trouble to object to the closure, should not be forgotten.
The proposed closure will affect Wivenhoe every bit as much as the Tendring villages.
Wivenhoe residents, who have not yet done so, should make their views known to Essex County Council as soon as possible.
