Firefighters tackled a kitchen blaze at a detached bungalow.
The fire started at 11am on Sunday at the home in The Street, Kirby-le-Soken.
Two crews from Frinton Fire Station entered the house and extinguished the flames within half an hour.
No-one was injured.
